PERFORMING ARTS/THEATER

Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall, UCA 

Since opening in 2000 with a sold-out concert by the late Ray Charles, this 1,200 seat performance hall has hosted numerous celebrities, including the Temptations and Gladys Knight, and many national and international touring companies.

Conway Symphony Orchestra

The Conway Symphony Orchestra's mission statement is to "create meaningful experiences through performances and education".

Celebrating their 29th year, the orchestra is a true supporter of furthering education by providing community and educational outreach programs in Central Arkansas. Professional performances are supported through donors and fundraising events to maintain reasonable ticket prices for the public.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra 

The state's most sought after musicians comprise this orchestra and famous vocalists like Natalie Cole, LeAnn Rimes and Aretha Franklin frequent it's stage.

MUSEUMS

Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame

The museum salutes its more than 250 inductees and gives a historical look at Arkansas sports, focusing on football, baseball,basketball,tennis,golf and racing-one of Mark Martin's first race cars is on display.

Historical Arkansas Museum

The Historic Arkansas Museum has five galleries of Arkansas-made art and artifacts, five pre-civil war building for touring and an interactive Children's Gallery.

Old State House Museum

Built in 1836, the Old State House served as the Arkansas Ccapitol until 1911 and is a National Historic Landmark.  The museum has six period rooms, exhibits highlighting Arkansas' first families and two legislative chambers.

William J. Clinton Presidental Library

Besides chronicling Clinton's presidency and American history at the turn of the 21st century, the center is home to the largest collection of presidential artifacts and features an exact replica of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room.

COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

CENTRAL BAPTIST COLLEGE

Owned and operated by the Baptist Missionary Association of Arkansas, this institution focuses on education the whole person-intellectually, physically,and spiritually.  With an enrollment of less than 1,000 this is on of the smallest colleges in central Arkansas.

HENDRIX UNIVERSITY

Recognized by the Princeton Review as one of the country's best institutions for undergraduate education, Hendrix is a private school affiliated with the United Methodist Church.  Although the student body numbers only about 1350, its a diverse group hailing from from 41 states and 13 countries.

UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS

UCA is the second-largest university in the state.  As such, it has 160 undergraduate, master  and doctoral degree programs and more than 140 student organizations.  The university became an NCAA Division 1 school in 2006, which helped fuel enrollment growth.

MEDICAL

CONWAY REGIONAL HEALTH SYSTEM

This comprehensive health system includes a medical center, four health clinics, a health and fitness center, home health agency, therapy clinics, inpatient rehabilitation and a physician staff of more than 180 primary care physicians and specialists.  The health system's anchor facility is a not-for-profit, acute-care hospital serving a five-county area.
